Swiss Information Risk Advisors

As the founder of Swiss Information Risk Advisors ( sira@swiss-risk.ch), Amir Ameri is a recognized Risk Manager among his peers in the IT & Information Security communities in Switzerland and abroad.

Amir has more than 20 years of professional experience in various business sectors in Switzerland, having started his career as a System Engineer in a global Telecommunication company in Zurich. He has worked in various roles and competencies as Programmer, Information Security Officer and Head of Information as well as Operational Risk Management departments of globally recognized and dominantly active insurance, financial and banking institutions. His professional background spans many areas of IT and Risk Management, as both a recognized Subject Matter Expert as well as a people and thought leader.

After completing his first degree as an electrical engineer, and gaining professional experience in the telecommunication, brokerage and insurance fields, he continued with his education in a none technical and financial risk oriented disciplines, namely economics and environmental science, in pursuit of developing a new approach for addressing the ever growing IT and Information associated risks.

Consecutively, Amir completed his Ph.D. in Management of Engineering and Technology, having written his dissertation on the topic of IT Risk Management.

His motto is “Learning is Living & Living is Learning” and to be consistent with his motto, he is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Law (LLM), in order to gain the necessary knowledge for a more indepth understanding of the impact of many new regulatory and legal changes in the data privacy as well as banking and financial areas.
